SNMP Version 3

Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is widely considered the standard protocol for managing devices on IP network. Devices that use SNMP include: routers, switchers, servers, workstations, and printers.

SNMP Version 3 (SNMP V3) offers the addition of cryptographic security and looks different due to new textual conventions, concepts, and terminology. Aside from these changes, SNMP V3 has no major differences from its predecessor.

For MICAS, SNMP Version 3 Support offers additional security. To set SNMP V3 Settings, open the IP Address of the device in a webpage. Then, go to Network Settings > Services Settings > SNMP Tab > SNMP V3 Settings.
